Pam Hook and Solo Taxonomy

Pam Hook presented information about the use of SOLO - a mental model for learning, that engages, challenges and engages students. A key message that I took away from this workshop, was looking at how gifted and talented students often give up when faced with challenges. Students often perceive their learning as they are dumb, they are smart or they are lucky. When they understand that learning is hard and requires work, they develop resilience.  ( See professional readings - feedback.)
